Our Pastor

Mark Price is the founding and Senior Pastor of Freedom Church. Mark is both a pastor and church planter who has pastored on the Eastern Shore area of Baldwin County since 2000. In 2000, Mark planted Church on the Eastern Shore (now 3 Circle Church), which he pastored for nearly 12 years. In 2012, Mark planted Freedom Church in Daphne, Alabama until it relocated in 2017 to Fairhope. Mark believes that church-planting is fundamental to the DNA of Freedom Church. In 2019, Freedom Church planted a new house church in Robertsdale. And in 2020, Freedom Church planted a new campus in Sapele, Nigeria. This new Nigerian campus is growing at an amazing pace and outgrew the Fairhope campus within the first 3-4 months of its existence. Mark believes that Freedom is called to plant at least five new churches within the span of a decade.

Mark is married to his best friend, Jaqueline (Jacque), and they live in Fairhope. They have four adult children (Whitney, Lindsay, Morgan and Jacob) and two grandchildren. Mark and Jacque are both passionate about seeing the local church become a welcoming home where hurting and broken people find acceptance and practical help in moving toward wholeness through their connection to Jesus and His family.

Mark is a graduate of The University of Alabama with a B.A. degree in Psychology, and of Beeson Divinity School at Samford University with a Master of Divinity degree in Theology.

One of Mark’s primary strengths is making complex truths simple and understandable so that everyone can learn and grow together. Mark loves traveling, the beach, and Alabama football. And he feels that he gets to live out his dream every day by pastoring a local church.

Our Mission

If our mission had to be summed up in one word, it would be MULTIPLY. We believe in multiplying at both a personal level of reaching and discipling new friends and at the level of planting new churches. Freedom is one church that exists on two continents. And our plan is to constantly expand our reach by building new relationships and by planting new churches. We believe that the most winsome way to introduce people to the love of God is by welcoming them into a loving, helpful and healthy experience with the family of God. And the two best environments for us to do this are in our worship gatherings and in our small group meetings.

Our Beliefs

About God

We believe in one God who has always existed as three distinct persons…Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God is supremely wise, powerful and good. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. Jesus is the Son of God, yet He is also God Himself. He became human in order to reveal God to us and to bring salvation to mankind through His sacrificial death and resurrection. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son and dwells within all who have been saved.

About the Bible

We believe that the Bible was written by men who were inspired and directed by God as a very specific and timeless way of revealing Himself, His character, and His plan to mankind. The Bible is God's word to all of humanity. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.

About Mankind

Men and women are made in the spiritual image of God to be like Him in character. We are the crowning work of God’s creation. Although mankind has tremendous potential for good, we are all marred by sin, both by birth and by choice. Our sins create a barrier between us and God which can only be removed by God’s saving work.

About Salvation

Salvation is a free gift from God to mankind. Humans can never make up for their sins by good works or self-improvement. Only through faith in Jesus and in His sacrificial death and resurrection on our behalf, can a person experience forgiveness and right standing with God.

About Eternity

Mankind is created to exist forever. Each person will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in fellowship with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be separated from God is to live in agony in Hell. To live with God eternally is Heaven.
